Article 1, Section 9, Clause 7 - US Constitution

7. No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.

Have you ever seen a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money    for the Federal Government or the State Government?  Why Not?  We are suppose to be able to see one.  It is our money, “the public,” that we provide to the government.  Everything which money is expended for, by the government, is now  on computer systems.  It is not difficult to post the statement on line of  how  much money is received from us and what it is specifically used for.

Even in city government, why are we not able to follow the money?  If we are shown the money - and shown where it goes, we are better able to regulate the finances of our government, as a sovereign people over the government.

We hire (vote for) people to work for us, based on their “resume,” their stated qualifications and their promise to do what we hire them to do.  If they do not perform as asked, we should fire them. That can be taken care of prior to the next election. And if they are involved in breaking the law, (The Constitution) that person should be prosecuted and punished for breaking the law.

Write or email your US Representatives and Senators and ask for a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money, SPECIFICALLY.  Do the same for your City and State governments. Make them SHOW US THE MONEY!! And WHERE THEY SPENT IT!   It is our right to know  and the government’s duty to provide.
